ACOG publishes final Annual Report for 2025/26

ACOG has published its final Annual Report, covering the period April 2025 to March 2026 and marking the conclusion of its six-year role supporting the UK’s Airspace Modernisation Programme.

The report highlights a year of continued progress across the programme, alongside significant changes to the future delivery model for airspace modernisation. In Scotland, ACOG provided targeted support to help Edinburgh Airport reach Stage 3 gateway readiness and supported coordinated consultation across the Scottish cluster. In Northern England, ACOG continued to develop the Manchester Terminal Area (MTMA) system-wide design and supported Leeds Bradford Airport through its Stage 2 resubmission.

Across the wider programme, ACOG strengthened the evidence, tools and approaches needed to support increasingly complex airspace change, including the development of the Flight Path Design Visual Repository. It also continued to bring together technical, programme and stakeholder engagement activity, helping sponsors and stakeholders understand the interdependencies between individual airspace changes.

A significant part of ACOG’s work during the year was preparing for the transition to the new delivery arrangements. This included supporting the establishment of the UK Airspace Design Service (UKADS) and helping shape the future Airspace Coordination Service (ACS). As ACOG’s role comes to an end, the report reflects on the foundations it has established over six years which provide a strong platform for the next phase of airspace modernisation.

The work will now continue through UKADS, which will initially focus on the future design of airspace in the London and South East region, and ACS, which will provide coordination for strategically important, interdependent airspace changes outside the scope of UKADS.
